About Us

The Marshall Foundation, founded in 1930, seeks to enhance the lives of the citizens of Tucson and Pima County through its support of charitable and educational institutions. The Foundation gives primary consideration to organizations involved in higher education projects and scholarships, children & youth programs, arts and cultural organizations and programs Pre-K-12 Education and Community & Social Service Organizations.

Marshall Foundation is a private Foundation that is asset-based and receives its income from the management of its commercial real estate assets.  It does not receive outside donations.

The Foundation is legally obligated  by the IRS  to donate five percent of its fair market value (net worth) each year to worthy non-profit organizations involved in community service and charitable programs.  It must reappraise its holdings at least every five years.
