The Marshall Foundation, founded in 1930, sought to enhance the lives of the citizens of Tucson, Arizona and Pima County through its support of charitable and educational institutions. Today the Marshall Foundation gives primary consideration to organizations that support Pre-K through 16 education and wrap-around services to underserved populations.
Marshall Foundation is a private Foundation that is asset-based and receives its income from the management of its commercial real estate assets. It does not receive outside donations.
The Foundation is legally obligated by the IRS to donate five percent of its fair market value (net worth) each year to worthy non-profit organizations involved in community service and charitable programs. It must reappraise its holdings at least every five years.
